International Collections
Our team is uniquely experienced in the collection of international debt. Issues arising from currency fluctuations, international monetary policy and cross-border banking procedures, creates special challenges that our team has successfully addressed for many years.

Telecommunications and the Wireless Industry
We have substantial receivables management experience from within both the domestic and international telecommunications and wireless industries. Our team understands the complexities which account for many of the open debt positions in this market-place. In the case of outstanding inter-operator and roaming debt, Captus offers a service that draws on unparalleled experience and knowledge of the unique rules and complexities of the industry. These are underpinned by our innovative approach and the use of leading-edge collection technology. We believe the key to our success lies with our ability to understand all of the underlying factors which may be the cause of unpaid amounts within the telecoms and wireless sector. It is part of our core business to identify the issues associated with old, tired debt; provide the expertise, knowledge and resources to communicate and resolve the problem, and ultimately recover monies which may otherwise have to be written off.

Revenue Sharing Agreements

Revenue sharing initiatives, particularly in the content production and distribution sectors, are increasingly creating difficult-to-collect debts. Because these debts are governed by not only complicated and unperfected billing protocols, but also industry regulation-mandated payment schedules, many smaller content producers are struggling to collect the amounts they are owed. We understand that the revenue sharing payments that may not seem large enough for concern to a big business partner are actually a matter of corporate life and death for the smaller partner. Our experience in collecting from some of the largest corporations in the world will help improve cash flows and eliminate the highly distracting task of collecting unpaid revenue-sharing debts.

Manufacturer – Distributor Debts
As trade increases globally, and foreign manufacturing continues its growth, the payments between manufacturers and distributors have become both more important and more complex. Captus has seen the resulting bad debts increase as well, and, with the parties in different countries, collection can be very difficult. Captus has built its reputation on its successful track record in collecting extraordinarily complex international debts of this sort, and has developed an expertise in the field of manufacturer – distributor debts. Captus has successfully collected debts on behalf of foreign and domestic companies in many parts of the word -- in come cases, several years old -- but still understands the need to keep the business relationship between the manufacturer and the distributor on positive operational terms.

Outsourcing Contracts
With more and more services being performed overseas, much of it secured only by a small percentage deposit, the level of unpaid debts between outsource providers and local partners has soared. Captus has developed significant experience in navigating the provisions of development, managed services, and resource allocation contracts to ensure that payment is collected. In order to facilitate the collection of payments owed, Captus can work with its clients to analyse the relevant agreements to spot those areas that Captus’ experience has shown will likely lead to disputes, and ultimately, unpaid debts. And as part of Captus’ program of debt policing, we can ensure that periodic payments, no matter how small, are paid – thus ensuring that the larger amounts will be treated seriously and paid as well.
